Hard lessons learned

To secure the house perimeter, ensure the area is well-lit using motion-sensor lights, install alarms and security cameras, and keep outdoor spaces tidy and visible. Always lock gates, sheds, cars, and garages. Remove any items lying around that could aid a break-in, and keep valuables out of sight so as not to tempt burglars.
